Job Description

 

General Description :

Under general supervision and with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, performs somewhat difficult responsible sub- professional or professional work requiring training, moderate experience and a broad knowledge of a special subject matter.

Specific Description :

  1. Reports directly to the Regional Administrator ;
  2. Supervises the Provincial Office operations;
  3. Conducts inspections and operations for the implementation of maritime laws, policies, rules and regulations;
  4. Receives and processes applications from vessel ship owners and stakeholders in the Provincial Office;
  5. Receives and/or collects payments for regulatory documents processing, penalties, fees and other charges and ensure immediate remittance to the BARMM Regional Treasury;
  6. Prepares the monthly reports of operations, collections and remittances of the Provincial Office and submits the same  to the Regional Office;
  7. Recommends necessary updates, programs, and activities relevant to maritime policies, rules and regulations for the Provincial Office;
  8. Assists in the development and conduct of quality audits, and prepares preliminary drafts of findings or technical information relative thereto;
  9. Oversees the development, evaluation, implementation and monitoring of studies, programs and projects relative to the promotion and development of the agency in the province; and
  10. Performs such other functions as may be assigned/directed by other competent authority;
